How To Set Up Your Company Profile and Settings

All plansBeginnerVideo, 1:31Updated October 11, 2026

Open My Company (in the sidebar's Company section) and fill in your logo, address, and business details; they appear on every client-facing document. Each card on the page has its own Edit button. Then use the Company Settings hub to configure the rest: financial defaults, roles, telephony, integrations, and your subscription, each in its own section.

Estimates with the wrong logo and invoices missing your address don't exactly scream "trustworthy professional." The company profile takes minutes to complete, and the Company Settings hub around it is where every business-wide switch lives. Here's the profile setup, then the map.

The profile: your public face

Open My Company in the sidebar's Company section. The page is a set of cards; each one has its own Edit button that opens just that card's fields, and a missing detail shows Not set with an Add link next to it.

  • Change logo (top right): your logo appears on estimates, invoices, receipts, and client emails. It saves as soon as you pick the file.
  • Business details: the Company Name, printed on every document and, on ZenGrow and ZenAI, used as the sender name on client emails (invoices, estimates, receipts, job reports) so they arrive as your business rather than as WorkZen. The address itself stays on WorkZen's sending domain, which is what keeps those emails out of spam. This card also holds your industry, incorporation type, registration date, and tax registrations: Canadian businesses get a GST/HST Number field alongside the Tax ID, and Quebec businesses also get QST Number, RBQ Licence, and NEQ; fill them once and they print on your documents.
  • Region & formats: Timezone drives every schedule and timestamp your team sees. Language is the default for client-facing documents and emails, independent of your dashboard language. Time format, the day your week starts on (Monday or Sunday, used by every calendar in WorkZen) and fiscal year start live here too.
  • Contact: email, a billing email, main phone, a Secondary phone if you run two lines, website, and your business address.
  • Taxes and Business hours: covered in how taxes calculate and setting up work hours.
Tip

Missing registration numbers show a reminder on the page: the GST/HST Number for every Canadian company, plus the QST Number, RBQ Licence, and NEQ in Quebec. Its Add link opens the right card directly.

Warning

Country locks in once set: currency and available tax rates hang off it. Pick carefully the first time. Everything else stays editable forever.
