How To Run Reports in WorkZen

All plansBeginnerVideo, 1:13Updated August 7, 2026

Go to Reports and pick the report that answers your question: revenue, AR aging, commissions, lead response time, or lead conversion. Set the date range, click Run Report, and use Export to download the data as a CSV.

Being busy and being profitable aren't the same thing. WorkZen's reports turn your day-to-day data into clear answers about what's working and where the money is leaking.

The reports and what each one answers

Go to Reports in the sidebar. Reports are grouped into Financial Reports and Operational Reports:

ReportThe question it answers
Revenue ReportWhere is the money coming from, by service, client, and time period?
Accounts Receivable AgingWho owes me, and how overdue is it?
Commission ReportWhat has each employee earned, pending and paid?
Lead Response TimeHow fast does my team respond to new leads?
Lead Conversion ReportHow many leads become clients, how long does it take, and which sources and reps perform best?

Two more cards, Job Pipeline Report and Job Conversions, appear with a Coming Soon badge; they aren't runnable yet.

Run a report

Open a report, pick a Date Range, and where offered choose a Group By interval: Day, Week, Month, Quarter, or Year. Click Run Report.

Results land in three views: Overview for the summary charts and totals, Details for the row-level table (every transaction, invoice, or lead), and Breakdown for grouped slices like revenue by client or conversion by source. Change filters any time and run again, or click Reset Filters to start clean.

Export to CSV

Click Export on any report to download the visible data as a CSV that opens in Excel, Google Sheets, or your accountant's tool of choice. Internal identifiers are stripped automatically, so the file contains only the readable columns.

Who can see what

Report access follows permissions, not just plans:

The Commission Report requires the ZenGrow plan or higher, since commissions are a ZenGrow feature. All other reports are free on every plan.

Watching labor costs too? Pair the reports with time tracking and expense management so revenue is only half of the picture you're checking.
